This course is for health care professionals who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life-support skills in both in- and outpatient care settings. Students train in recognizing life-threatening emergencies in adult, child and infant patients; giving high-quality chest compressions, delivering appropriate ventilations and providing early use of an AED. It also covers the use of BVM, pocket masks and relief of choking in responsive and unresponsive victims. This certification is good for two years.
