This Course will give students the basic understanding of intruder, alarm and surveillance systems. Students will be introduced to the equipment and specialized tools that are needed and receive practical experience with advanced electronic security systems. Hands-on tasks include learning device features, wiring, and installment techniques of systems such as burglar alarms, closed-circuit televisions, smoke alarms and CO2 alarms. Also covered in this course are troulbeshooting and servicing methods. This course will give students knowledge of equipment and the confidence to self-install any intruder, alarm, or surveillance device.
