A better strategy leads to a better game. A better understanding of one’s leadership capabilities leads to a better strategy. In this course, participants will discover methods to realize their own leadership potential and their ability to foster a team spirit as they relate personal skills development to the context of a round of golf. As an example, what if they devoted as much time to picking team members as they did selecting golf clubs? Would that perhaps lead to better overall performance? Working as a part of a team, students will learn how to use their traits as sportsmen to develop a better understanding of their personal strengths and challenges and learn to react to change more effectively through logic, rather than through anger and disappointment. Participants will discover ways to build team trust, recognize the critical role of communications in building and maintaining a team atmosphere, and identify ways to grow and nurture a team, all the while being in tune with themselves. By attending this course, participants will be prepared to take on more leadership responsibility and successfully lead the team through the back nine.
