The Old World styles of wine come from historic wine regions of Europe, such as France, Italy, Spain, etc.
Tradition is an important part of its wine regulation and style. New World wines derive from California, Argentina, Chile and South Africa. Students will compare New World and Old World wines side by side to evaluate their differences and commonalities. Students are requestedto bring one Bordeaux style glass with them to class and the instructor will provide the other.
