Prerequisite: Possession of a license as an inspector of the same type and specialty as the subcode official being applied for. This course has been designed to meet the state educational program requirements to become licensed as a New Jersey Subcode Official (NJAC 5:23-5.20(m)). This course provides the state-required 45 hours of classroom instruction and deals with the duties and responsibilities of the subcode official’s responsibilities, the methods of code enforcement and related legislation. Topics: Legal aspects of code enforcement and related legislation.
