This online course provides the initial concepts leading to the development of competency in cloud computing. Students will learn the fundamental concepts of cloud technology and the business aspects impacted by the cloud. They will be able to tell the difference between types of cloud solutions, identify the technical challenges of cloud computing, identify the steps to adopt cloud services, and identify how the ITIL framework helps with the integration of cloud technology into an organization. Students will also learn about the potential risks involved in cloud computing, risk mitigation measures, the cost factors for the implementation of cloud technology, and strategic benefits. Students that complete the course may continue learning on their own to further prepare for the CompTIA Cloud Essentials certification exam.
