This course provides students with an opportunity to connect their passion of automobiles with the fundamental skills of writing for a blog or web-based magazine. Students will learn basic principles of writing through several online modules including: rules for sentence structure; grammar and punctuation; and proofreading. Afterward, they will spend a day in the field assessing a variety of exotic and luxury automobiles as the subject matter for their completed project. Using a check sheet, students will analyze each vehicle for performance and appearance, paying particular attention to every nuance, then compare and contrast one with the other. Following the fieldwork, students will conduct additional research on their own and finish the course by writing and posting their article in which they rate the features of the automobiles. A valid driver's license is required to take this course as is a desire to learn to write well.
