Not all professional photographers spend their time taking pictures of fashion models. Many others focus their skills on taking pictures of inanimate objects such as the products featured in advertising campaigns. In this unique course, the focus is on industrial photography. Take your amateur photographic skills and learn professional techniques by documenting activities in the workplace. Learn how to capture images of the deployment of equipment and materials on the job, as well as a variety of worker pursuits. Working with a DSLR camera under the guidance of a subject matter expert, you will learn about focal points and proper composition by first photographing the environment. Then, turn your attention to the hustle and bustle of the workplace by capturing images of machinery used, the tools of the trade, buildings, architectural points of interest, and, of course, the people. Once your photographs have been taken, you will learn to download them to a computer. Basic editing procedures will be covered.
