This course will review all of the core competencies of wastewater collection and treatment objectives of state and federal regulations and requirements: and the source and general characteristics of wastewater. Additionally, the course will cover the wastewater collection system design, materials of construction along with lift stations, and force mains operations and maintenance. There will be a brief look at industrial wastewater monitoring and control; Operator hazards and general safety practices; and collection system management. Lastly, math formulas will be applied to specific problems related to wastewater collections system hydraulics and pumping. 45 hours, 4.5 CEUs.
