Rowan College is now offering the New Jersey Certified
Animal Cruelty Investigator (ACI) Course approved by the
New Jersey Department of Health. Participants will have
opportunity to be taught and interact with experts in the
field of animal control. Successful completion of this
49-hour course meets the requirements mandated in N.J.A.C.
8:23A-2.6 for Animal Cruelty Investigators certified by the
New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services
(NJDOH) and the New Jersey Police Training Commission.
Participants who complete this course will receive a state
certification which will allow them, in conjunction with
the NJ Animal Control Officer certification, to immediately
seek and obtain employment in any municipality or private
facility in New Jersey as an Animal Cruelty Investigator.
