The Servsafe food handler certificate is the most popular certification awarded by ServSafe. In this course, you will learn the requirements of the food handler worker and prepare to take the ServSafe Food Handler Certification. The purpose of this certification is to ensure that food service workers have an understanding of basic food safety principles. A food handler is anyone working in a food service establishment (restaurant, senior center kitchen) who has direct contact with food or anything that the food touches. The certificate is awarded after completing the course and passing the assessment. The assessment will test your knowledge in these five categories: Basic Food Safety, Personal Hygiene, Cross-contamination & Allergens, Time & Temperature and Cleaning and Sanitation. Our program includes classroom instruction that prepares participants for the certification assessment. Students in this program will take the certification assessment at the end of the course.
