In this course, professional carpenters will introduce you to the methods and practices required within the trade of carpentry. Working in a hands-on environment, you will learn principles for designing a project, estimating the type of amount of materials needed, and tips for measuring the space in which to build. Discover the variety and quality associated with different types of wood. Learn to use both hand and power tools to cut wood, then frame out, construct, and finish walls. Build shelves and hangar racks, install kitchen cabinets, and install door frames before hanging doors. You will also learn tips for performing a safe, clean and quiet demolition. Complete this course and develop the fundamental skills you need to perform basic carpentry projects.
